Senior developer - Network Automation

A Finnish telecom and network services provider is looking for two senior backend developers to join a newly established Autonomous Network Operations (ANO) team. The team builds internal software and automation capabilities supporting the client’s network operations and infrastructure.

You’ll build and evolve cloud-native backend services, work with complex infrastructure and location data, contribute to database design (with Google Spanner being introduced), and actively use AI tools in day-to-day development while helping shape technical practices for the new team.

Requirements:

• Strong software engineering background with hands-on Golang experience
• Experience building cloud-native services on GCP
• Hands-on experience with microservices architectures
• Strong database skills
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with TypeScript and React
• Active use of AI development tools (especially GitHub Copilot) in daily work
• Capability to learn complex domains quickly and work independently

Beneficial:

• Experience with geospatial or location-related data
• Google Spanner or graph database experience
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging tools like Kafka or WarpStream
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
• Domain knowledge in IP/MPLS or networking
• Agile or lean software development experience
• Interest in establishing development practices for a new team

Start: ASAP

Duration: Long-term engagement

Location: 1 day/week at an office in the Helsinki region

Language: Finnish preferred, but strong technical candidates with fluent English will be considered
