Senior Backend Developer - Network Automation) ASAP START

We are seeking for a large-scale market-leading telecommunications and digital services enterprise a Senior Backend Developer to join the network operations division.

Responsibilities In this senior role, you will design and evolve complex, cloud-native backend services and automation tooling for backbone network operations. Your main objective is to automate device installations, service provisioning, and network operations in a microservices and event-driven architecture while actively championing AI-assisted development practices within the team.

Requirements Must-Have Skills

• Strong proficiency in Golang and/or Kotlin, GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Kubernetes, and event-driven streaming technologies like Kafka or WarpStream.
• Active, hands-on experience using AI development tools, especially GitHub Copilot, alongside a willingness to promote AI-assisted ways of working.
• Proven experience with microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud-native backend development.
• Strong initiative, fast learning ability in complex technical domains, proactive knowledge sharing, and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent English language skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Database experience, particularly with Google Spanner or graph-oriented data models.
• Experience with Vertex AI, Terraform, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Networking domain knowledge (e.g., IP/MPLS).
• Experience in agile and lean software development methodologies.
• Finnish language skills.
