SAP BPA & BTP Developer

A client within the pharmaceutical industry is looking to simplify, harmonize and automate workflows in their validated SAP environment, and is in need of an SAP BPA & BTP Developer to help out. The main goal is to replace legacy automation tools (like Evolve) with automated RPA workflows built within SAP.

The role focuses on evaluating, designing & implementing automated workflow solutions using SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Extensions. You'll work closely with the client's internal SAP competence teams and external development partners to simplify, standardize & maintain their validated, GxP-compliant SAP interface processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and deploy automated workflow and RPA solutions using SAP Build Process Automation and SAP BTP Extensions
• Evaluate legacy process automations (like Evolve workflows) and their migration paths into the native SAP BPA / BTP architecture
• Collaborate with internal SAP core teams and external development and vendor partners to optimize SAP interface workflows
• Ensure governance, maintainability and clear ownership for the implemented RPA and workflow solutions
• Support evaluation and validation activities for processes governed by GxP compliance standards

We're looking for:

• Experience with SAP BPA and SAP BTP Extensions
• In-depth understanding of SAP interface architectures, SAP APIs and native SAP workflow automation
• Hands-on experience with RPA concepts, workflow orchestration and process automation within SAP environments
• Experience with legacy SAP automation tools (like Winshuttle / Evolve) or other third-party RPA tools (like UiPath, Power Automate or Blue Prism) is a strong bonus
• Experience from regulated environments (for example pharma) with validated GxP processes and compliance requirements is a definite advantage
• Strong communication & stakeholder management skills for working with internal IT leads, business owners and third-party vendors
• Quality-oriented mindset with a focus on governance, structured documentation and long-term maintainability
• Proactive, consultative and analytical approach to harmonizing technology and optimizing processes

Start: Q4 2026

Duration: 6 months, with possible extensions

Location: Remote ok, the client's offices are in the Helsinki metropolitan area

Language: English, Finnish is a plus

Allocation: 80-100%
