Fullstack Developer for Retail

Senior Fullstack / React Native Developer

A large retail client is looking for an experienced developer to join the product area that builds the customer apps for their grocery business. The main focus is the mobile app of their online grocery store, but there's web & backend work to be handled too. They're after a particularly experienced developer who can take a strong role in product development and technical improvements, and who also actively spars the team on how it works. Hands-on experience and proven results in, for example, improving the performance of a React Native app or developing test automation is a plus.

Start: December or January 2027

Duration: approximately 6 months, extension likely (3 month contract extensions)

Location: minimum 2 days per week at the office in Helsinki (preferably more in the beginning)

Language: English, Finnish a plus

Most of the developers speak Finnish, but the official working language is English and all written communication happens in English. A good share of the closest colleagues are at the office several days a week, and in their experience a few extra office days in the beginning make getting started easier.

AI-assisted development: The team is actively developing its AI-assisted development practices. They expect you to be used to AI-assisted software development and able to help improve the team's development processes in line with good AI-assisted coding practices. The current tools are GitHub Copilot (like Copilot CLI) and Amazon Kiro.
