Our client in retail is looking for a skilled Designer to work on their two internal applications; Holiday Planning & Resource Planning. Experience from designing tools related to working time planning or strategic workforce planning (working time rules, holiday rules, etc.), is a strong preference in this project.

The Holiday Planning Application is used for planning summer holidays for the staff working in stores and restaurants. The users of the application are workforce planning professionals, location managers, and middle management. Development of the application will continue during late autumn and early winter, and design support is particularly needed for the following areas:
- Controlled updating of personal data and workload forecasts into existing plans
- Management of notes in plan versions
The Resource Planning Application has several planning and development needs. One of the most central relates to managing personnel changes in situations where the user records upcoming changes—such as terminations of employment, absences, contract hour changes, or recruitments—before they appear in the HR system (Workday). The application must reconcile the changes made by users with the updates arriving from the HR master system so that the same change does not appear in the data multiple times. At the same time, users must be able to maintain clear visibility into what changes have been made, where they originate, and how they affect the outcome of the planning.
Required Expertise:
- Experience with user interfaces for large amounts of data (including table and analytics views, optimization results, filtering and search functions, comparison of alternatives)
- Experience in converting complex optimization and decision-making processes into an understandable user experience. The designer must understand how algorithm-generated results are presented to users, how changes are visualized, and how alternative scenarios are presented.
- Experience working as a designer in an entity where data moves from one system to another
- The designer should have prior experience in designing tools related to working time planning or strategic workforce planning (working time rules, holiday rules, etc.)
