Senior Backend Developer (TypeScript / AWS)

The customer is executing an extensive, multi-year payment transformation that will go live progressively throughout 2026 and 2027. A key focus of this strategic initiative is introducing a brand-new multi-acquirer architecture. The project requires an experienced, hands-on backend developer—a true "doer"—who can step into this ongoing transformation, take technical ownership of key deliverables, and build scalable, secure backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining high-performance backend services for the client's new multi-acquirer payment platform.
• Designing and implementing scalable cloud functionality within AWS using TypeScript.
• Collaborating with technical leads and cross-functional project teams to ensure seamless backend integration across payment domain features.
• Contributing to architectural refactoring, backend security, and resilient code design in a complex enterprise ecosystem.

Qualifications and technical skills

Proven track record as a senior backend developer with a hands-on, execution-driven mindset.

Technical Stack:

• Strong backend focus with deep experience in TypeScript.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
• Practical knowledge of Java is considered a strong advantage.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Domain expertise in payments, payment architectures, or multi-acquirer payment implementations.

Soft Skills:

• Self-directed, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Strong technical communication and collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary teams.

• Location requirements: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite during the onboarding phase, transitioning to 1–2 days per week onsite afterwards)
