Our customer within the retail & fashion business is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team. In this project, the consultant will build and maintain products within customer’s “Financial Data” and “Controlling” divisions. These include e.g. Financial Data Warehouse (FDW) and Financial Planning & Analytics platform (FP&A) (more specifically including data flows and modules, to meet customer’s the requirements).

In the role of Data Engineer, the consultant develops solutions for gathering, scheduling activities for data imports and exports, retrieve data, map data, and create efficient planning modules. Most work is done in the SaaS solution of Anaplan but SQL is also used a lot for completing the tasks. Furthermore, the consultant will be using the cloud solution and in agile work with a DevOps mindset, transforming the ideas of the planning needs into a solution, taking charge of test and release, then maintaining the solution.

The main tools to work with are based on the Anaplan platform as well as surrounding solutions (source/target systems). On top of them, working with data warehouse solutions built in Azure, Microsoft data warehouse technologies and Power BI are in the centre of the project. Also, the consultant will collect requirements and needs as well as be in close dialogue with different stakeholders throughout the organization.

In order to be a great match, the consultant should find themselves in the following:
- At least 5 years of experience of development, testing and support in planning and data warehouse plattforms.
- Experienced in SQL-language and ETL-tooling.
- Experience in Microsoft data warehouse technologies (such as Azure, DB, Tabular, Access …)
- Worked with high data volumes
- Worked with integrations and good understanding of integration patters such as (SOAP, API and or File transfer)
- Worked with integrations in an enterprise
- Integrate with Cloud based solutions
- Experience from working with any Planning platforms (FP&A)
- Previous working experience or knowledge of Anaplan is a plus

As a person, the consultant is expected to be strategic, analytical, and fast in understanding and execution. Furthermore, having ability to understand and analyze complex information and share it in effective and powerful communications are in the main focus. Ability to take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments

And as a last but not least, the buzzwords for the project include e.g. following:
- Business Domain : Financial Controlling , Group Controlling , Business Controlling
- Technical Domain : Data Warehouse, Data modelling, Data Injection, Data Marts, Report and Analysis, Data as a Service, Model building in planning tools
- Plattform Domain: Azure Data Warehouse technologies, Power BI, Financial planning and analysis plattforms (i,e, Anaplan, Board, SAP SAC or similar)
- Technical Sills: Tablur Cube, Multi dim cubes, azure data factory, azure logic apps , power bi, General Azure Knowledge, Azure Active Directory, Synapse pipeline, JIRA (Way of Working) - Agile - Scrum
